The Regents of the University of California stated on Friday that they would not accede to demands for divestment on the grounds of academic freedom. This is a shocking misuse of the term. Academic freedom has never, and must never, covered university investment portfolios.

The encampments are moving beyond college campuses. Something even bigger is brewing.

The Liberated Zone / Encampment at GWU representing a coalition of DC-area universities is a sight to behold. So much energy, so much education, so much history unfolding before us, so much Jewish solidarity. Proud of these students for standing up for what they believe in.
