I asked Dennis which underdiscussed prospect Stars fans should keep an eye on. He understandably didn't want to play favorites but I do: Aram Minnetian. Total longshot obviously but his transition play for Boston College this year was strong, and got stronger in the playoffs.

Laerke has plenty of water stations for drinking, and deep plunge pools to splash in, but every now and then, she craves that hose-to-mouth, direct from the source, hydrating experience. 😂 📹: Keeper Russell

Recently, Robert Tiffin dove into how wide the Stars' window for contention is. Now David Castillo is going a level deeper: who makes up the Stars' current core, how productive are they, and how does that stack up leaguewide? Super smart stuff here: dmagazine.com/sports/2025/08…

My latest: A fancy stats look at the Dallas Stars core against the backdrop of peak production, and how they fare against their contending peers. dmagazine.com/sports/2025/08…

Really great analysis from Corey as always, and unsung writing chops (as always?). Really juicy tidbits in here about the Dallas Stars, with unlucky net front presence, and creating rebounds at a high rate, but struggling to cash in.

Interesting ranking. Dallas Stars prospect pool ranks 23, with U-23 players being part of the equation. Not much to complain about. I'm biased however, and I think (using his rubric) Dallas' pool objectively belongs at 20 over Boston, L.A., and Vancouver.

Addition by subtraction. Dallas losing players with negative shift-to-shift value gives them a boost. I'm a little less optimistic (I think 102-106 points is more their range), but that's just nitpicking. They're still the team to beat in the Central alongside Colorado.
