Kivioq fjord today. Impressive glacial incision along the Blosseville coast. Medial moraine systems playing a big role in debris transfer into the fjords, glacial stagnation and ablation rates #KangGlac project Geography at Durham #RRSSirDavidAttenborough British Antarctic Survey 🐧

Lots of different #glaciallandscapes in and around Kangerlussuaq fjord yesterday #KangGlac project. A remarkable range of glaciers 'feeling' the climate in different ways Geography at Durham British Antarctic Survey 🐧

Started a bit of an office clear out today. Stumbled across this gem, 'The 2nd Meeting of the Subglacial Working Group' Oct 1994. Some very interesting 'official' commentary accompanying the Saturday itinerary. I also wonder if the 4.00 slot was the infamous Rea single overhead..

L3 fieldtrip to Iceland this week has been 'eventful' to say the least, but what a great bunch of students and staff. As ever, Iceland never fails to burn a hole in your visual cortex Geography at Durham Durham University
