Exactly. The decline in media working conditions (less time/resources per reporter per story) is a very real thing. Politicians, naturally, have worked out strategies to gamify and exploit these realities to their own ends (i.e. talking absolute dog shit all the time).

It is harder, yes, because you need to research and think, and not many reporters have the time/capacity for that. Still, should be fucking mandatory.

Times were nice and simple for the Liberal Party when the political narrative was worker versus the boss,unions versus big business.
These days they have to create divisions to gain political relevance in the Westminster system.
No wonder the Cross Bench is gaining ground.

We have the most amazing independents in federal parliament - brilliant women (and men). They're full of exciting, innovative policies and ideas.

Nothing Dutton says is original, it's just the same old tired tropes wheeled out.
