Pope Francis died on Easter Monday, April 21, 2025, at the age of 88 at his residence in the Vatican's Casa Santa Marta.

We join the Church and the world in thanking God for Pope Francis' life and pontificate, and in prayer for his eternal rest. Some of his last words to us: "In the wonder of the Easter faith, we can say: with You, O Lord, everything is new. With you, everything begins again."
