It seems that Parcelforce Worldwide have developed high tech portal technology. Tracking shows the package I waited all day for yesterday is currently both in Ready for Delivery in Oxford AND at their Swindon depot right now. If they could portal it to me instead, that would be great.

It's been 24 hours since the delivery window expired. According to the tracking info, the package is both in Oxford and Swindon. Are you actually going to deliver it Parcelforce Worldwide ?
