There is currently a road closure in place on Great North Road #Jesmond due to a collision.

The B1318 in both directions from the junction of Blue House Roundabout to the 167M Central Motorway is expected to be closed until mid-morning. We'll keep you updated when it reopens.

At x3.5 the legal limit this has turned out to be a very expensive takeaway for this driver in #Killingworth , and yet I’m the one to blame for spoiling their afternoon 🤷‍♂️ #Dontdrinkdrive

Four people have been hospitalised - 2 with serious, life-threatening injuries.
We've launched an investigation and enqs are ongoing.

We're currently in attendance after a multi-vehicle collision on the #A1 near Stannington.

The road is expected to be closed for a number of hours, with diversions in place.

Please avoid the area if possible, and be aware there will be increased congestion on nearby roads.

Another positive DrugWipe UK on a driver in #Byker . Some people don’t realise the effects and dangers of driving whilst under the influence of cocaine. Hopefully the driver can reflect whilst sitting in the cell. Driving ban looms now though.

When folk say “why does it take 5-6 cops to arrest them” because we are doing it safely and sometimes it’s needed for those more violent members of society. Cuffs bent due to strength of arrested drunk driver resisting in #Prudhoe last night.

From yesterday afternoon. Where possible we always try to use pre-emptive pursuit tactics. Great stop of this stolen car in #Gateshead with help from the #OpDragoon staff, resulting in two in the cells, no damage to cars & importantly no potentially dangerous pursuit starting.
