This morning, we gathered at the Nashville Sheriff Memorial Rock Garden for our Day of Remembrance Ceremony, honoring and remembering those we lost in 2024 and 2025.
Last night, we celebrated 2,035 years of Nashville Sheriff service at our 29th Annual Service Awards Dinner. Proud of all honorees receiving their 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40 year service pins. -Employee of the Year–Gredonna Wilkerson -Officer of the Year– Jacqueline Thomas
Last week, I welcomed 78 new cadets to the Nashville Sheriff Training Academy. I had the opportunity to introduce myself and our Chiefs while sharing the core values that define us: Accountability, Diversity, Integrity, and Professionalism.

It was bittersweet celebrating the retirement of my friend, Darleen McClung. Her 21 years with Nashville Sheriff and tireless work in our community have touched so many lives. We thank Darleen for her leadership, dedication, friendship, and wish her all the best in retirement!
Enjoyed hosting a career panel for Nashville Sheriff cadet class 410-25 graduates. Officers and staff discussed key topics with the cadets, such as stress management, the promotion process, career aspirations, and challenges in law enforcement.
