Very much agree! Some really cool ways to make journal clubs more engaging and valuable. Some of which we have come to implement ourselves within the Graduate Society at CRUK_CI.

Our immune cell robots 🤖 were a huge hit again this year at Cambridge Festival! Created by one of our postdocs Adelyne Chan 🇲🇾🇬🇧 in Narita Lab CRUK, the Raspberry Pi robots act as immune cells that participants can control using phones to remove "bad cells" 🦠 from the body. #CamFest

Bravo 👏 Thanks to this group of editors for highlighting the absurd profiteering of Elsevier News publishers. I had not realised how extreme this situation had become and depressingly this is only one of many examples 😬🔬🥼

Several Lowe lab #powercouples have had major impact on its science & culture. 1st Masako & Masashi Narita Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory raised the bar for experimental precision and established why senescent cells stably arrest. Check out their enormously successful Narita Lab CRUK Cancer Research UK! -SWL #LoweLab25

Figure 5.3: Thesis submission day with my PhD partner in crime. DanisThomas and I both handed in yesterday afternoon! We try to look serious here, but the past four years have been much fun! I remain in the Narita Lab CRUK until December while I work out what I do next!

Glad to have successfully defended my PhD Thesis!! Many thanks to Daniel Muñoz-Espín and Bill Keyes for the great discussion during the viva! And I cannot thank Masashi and Fanni enough for their invaluable supervision. It was great to have been part of the CRUK Cambridge Institute family.

NEW paper from our lab revealing how induction of senescence in murine liver leads to extrahepatic senescence and organ failure in multiple other organs! TGFbeta signalling might be one of the key culprits. Really cool work check it out!
