Sad to read that Paul Auster has died. One of my favourite authors. I devoured his New York Trilogy at university. The Music of Chance, Leviathan and Mr Vertigo were three important books for me when I read them as a young man and now it's probably time I revisited them. RIP.

I suspect a Venn diagram showing Tory MPs who oppose the Tobacco and Vapes Bill - on the basis that (a) it limits individual freedom (b) it’d be hard to enforce and (c) it’d create an illegal market - and are simultaneously against legalising cannabis, would be a perfect circle.
