So why do I share all of this? Because you need to know that even if your daughter doesn’t have all the advantages along the way... Even if she doesn’t dance w/ a Major Studio... Even if she doesn’t win all the competitions... Even if she has major setbacks... IT AIN’T OVER!!!

So what’s the difference maker? How do I know if my dancer will be one of the ones to make it? Fortunately for you, I’m an engineer & I work a mean spreadsheet... So I know exactly what correlation variables define the make it or break it factor...

Factor #1... Does she love it?... Beyond almost everything else? Does she willingly give up the things other kids her age enjoy to be in the studio? Ball games... Parties... Socials... Dating in general... Other endeavors like Cheerleading or Dance Teams...

Factor #2... Does she bust her ass consistently in all things related to dance & life?... Does she face setbacks head on, regardless of the situation, & finds a way to overcome?...

That’s it folks... If they truly love it... And they truly work their butt off, undeterred by whatever life throws at them... They will make it at some level of dance that will make you proud!... Forget the competition results... This is all you need to know...

So honestly, the biggest difference between being a DanceCompDad & being a Softball Dad is that there’s SIGNIFICANTLY more available counter space in my hotel bathroom... #notevenkidding #L’ilD
