Today I met with the First Responders Resiliency, Inc.! This nonprofit is dedicated to the psychological and physical wellbeing of our first responders, providing them with skills and resources to combat the effects of the trauma and stress associated with their career path. 🧵

Tragically, more first responders die by suicide every year than die in the line of duty, but these resources can be a lifeline for these heroes and their families. It was a pleasure to tour the facility and learn directly from the support team.

Thank you to Frank Egger and Alice Hunter for hosting in Duncans Mills. The main conversation topic was helping to facilitate between locals and CalTrans to make this portion of the State Highway safer. Glad to see Damon Connolly make it there for the discussion as well.
