I thought being a baseball player would make the transition to golf easier. It’s actually the opposite. It’s harder! It’s like I’m breaking every muscle memory I was taught. Long road ahead.

I asked Taylor about this on Tuesday. He said that the team was keeping it in house and he didn’t share anything beyond that.

NBA teams are loading up on versatile wings these days, but the Memphis Grizzlies still appear to have too many. It doesn’t matter now, but it will in the offseason.

Here’s a look into how Memphis can address its positional logjam this summer:

If I would have told you before the season that the Grizzlies would have more road wins than last season, no way you would have assumed the season would be anything close to this.

Jake LaRavia’s confidence is no longer a question. Even before this game, he’s been doing way more “doing” than thinking. That’s the first step to determining what a player can be at this level. He’s got that now. Strong start so far against Cleveland. 4-4 on 3-pointers in 1Q

Brandon Clarke won’t play today for the Grizzlies against the Cavs. Second night of a back to back, so management for the Achilles.

With Brandon Clarke in the starting lineup tonight for the Grizzlies, Memphis will be going with their 50th starting lineup this season - the most by a team since starters began being tracked in 1970-71.

Clarke will be the 23rd player to start a game for Memphis this year.

On Jaren Jackson Jr. and Desmond Bane, Taylor Jenkins said there is a “good chance” they won’t be back this season. Not surprising, but you’ve pretty much seen the end of those guys until next season.

Another small update on FedExForum renovations: State Sen. Brent Taylor said in a video posted on social media this morning that the Grizzlies could sign a 20-year lease if renovations are funded. Process continues to move forward.

Marc Gasol has been connected with the Grizzlies since they came to Memphis. It’s only right that his ceremony brought back a number of familiar faces.

Rudy Gay: “We were at the beginning of this. To see him get his number in the rafters, it's great.”

It’s after midnight at FedExForum. Marc Gasol, Tony Allen and Jason March are shooting the breeze about the good ol’ days while their kids play basketball where they once did.

It was a special night in Memphis.
