#OTD in 1925, my final opera, Entente Cordiale, was premiered at the Royal College of Music, London, in a double-bill with my penultimate opera, Fête Galante. The worst thunderstorm of the year was raging outside and the orchestra pit flooded! #EthelSmyth

Fête Galante was produced from 25-27 July by Pegasus Opera Company at the Royal College of Music Royal College of Music, in a double bill with Philip Hagemann's The Dark Lady of the Sonnets.
