I've always shyed away from this topic on ethnicity in Burundi coz I know it depends on the kind of environment every1grew in. One day I will unpack my POV and my take on the subject however controversial my thoughts can be , it will be from my experiences having lived here&away.

I think many old folks uses the ethnicity labels as descriptive distinctions between people due to a general idea of the physical appearance and behaviours of others or just stereotypes that have existed in our society for too long.
