The Department of Youth Resources & Sports hosted the Youth Exchange cum Exposure Programme between Nagaland & Meghalaya from 30th September to 4th October, 2024. The program between the two states highlighted cultural exchanges, excursions and interactive activities.

The 68th National School Games U-19 Girls’ Sepak Takraw, organized by the Dept of Youth Resources & Sports in collaboration with the School Games Federation of India, took place from Nov 25th-29th, 2024, at IG Stadium, Kohima. Manipur-Gold, Nagaland-Silver, Maharashtra- Bronze.

The Department of Youth Resources & Sports hosted the Hornbill Festival Indigenous Games from Dec 2-5, 2024, at Kisama Heritage Village, Kohima. Traditional events like Shot Put,Stilt Bamboo Race,Standing Broad Jump & Tug of War showcased the cultural heritage of the Naga people.

Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya arriverd in Nagaland on a 2 day visit from December 7-8, 2024. Met Hon'ble Governor, had interaction programme with officials at IG Stadium, visited Commonwealth War Cemetery and attended Hornbill Festival 2024.
