THIS IS TERRIFYING and without a doubt one of the most IMPORTANT pieces of reporting on Gaza, and one of the most disturbing: Based on whistleblower accounts from within the IDF and six Israeli intelligence officers, who have all served in the army during the current Genocide:

We should never be forgiven for what we let Israel do to the children of Gaza.

1/ I’m an Israeli historian. My community is still too silent about the horrible war in Gaza. Over 8 months I’ve closely followed the war, reading >1000 articles and viewing >1000 videos/images of the war from all sides. My summary conclusions & full report are in the 🧵:

We are outraged and strongly condemn the killing of our colleague, Fadi Al-Wadiya, in an attack this morning in Gaza City. The attack killed Fadi, along with 5 other people including 3 children, while he was cycling to work, near the MSF clinic where he was providing care.

Fadi was een 33-jarige fysiotherapeut en vader van drie kinderen. Hij werkte sinds 2018 bij Artsen Zonder Grenzen. Onze gedachten gaan uit naar zijn familie en dierbaren. Fadi is de zesde medewerker van AZG gedood in Gaza sinds 7 oktober 2023.

"Het doden van een gezondheidswerker op weg om vitale medische zorg te verlenen aan slachtoffers van de eindeloze slachtpartijen in Gaza is meer dan schokkend; het is cynisch en weerzinwekkend." Caroline Seguin, operationeel manager van AZG in Palestina.

Deze aanval is het zoveelste brute voorbeeld van het zinloos doden van Palestijnse burgers en gezondheidswerkers in Gaza. We blijven de details van dit afschuwelijke incident verifiëren.

Conditions across the #GazaStrip are apocalyptic: buildings are reduced to rubble, there is almost no clean water and supplies are minimal. As war and displacement continue, UNRWA needs unimpeded and continuous access to deliver aid and plan humanitarian operations.

⚫️AZG rouwt om het verlies van onze collega Nasser Hamdi Abdelatif Al Shalfouh op 10 okt. Hij overleedt door granaatscherfverwondingen aan zijn benen & borst die hij op 8 okt. opliep in #Jabalia, Noord-#Gaza. Jabalia wordt sinds 7 oktober aangevallen door Israëlische troepen.

Even one attack is too many. Attacking children, civilians, hospitals, health care workers, schools, humanitarians, is a violation of international humanitarian law. They are #NotATarget. #ActForHumanity
