“We see gunshot wounds now in children from quadcopters, which are basically drones with guns. And we have been seeing an alarming number of increasing infectious diseases, including hepatitis A outbreaks.” - Dr Amber Alayyan, MSF Deputy Programme Manager for the Middle East.

Following intense bombings by Israeli forces this Saturday morning in the Middle Area of #Gaza, our teams are working along medical staff at Al-Aqsa and Nasser hospitals to treat an overwhelming number of severely injured patients, many of whom are women and children.

📷 In April, one of our staff took a series of photos in Khan Younis and Rafah in #Gaza, which exposes the consequences of Israel’s campaign of annihilation and depicts the stark reality of the ongoing conflict. 👇 msf.org/rafah-khan-you…

1/ I’m an Israeli historian. My community is still too silent about the horrible war in Gaza. Over 8 months I’ve closely followed the war, reading >1000 articles and viewing >1000 videos/images of the war from all sides. My summary conclusions & full report are in the 🧵:

We are outraged and strongly condemn the killing of our colleague, Fadi Al-Wadiya, in an attack this morning in Gaza City. The attack killed Fadi, along with 5 other people including 3 children, while he was cycling to work, near the MSF clinic where he was providing care.

The continued killing of Palestinian civilians and health care workers in Gaza must stop. #CeasefireNow The death of Fadi Al-Wadiya marks the sixth killing of an MSF colleague in Gaza since October 7. doctorswithoutborders.org/latest/remembe…

Conditions across the #GazaStrip are apocalyptic: buildings are reduced to rubble, there is almost no clean water and supplies are minimal. As war and displacement continue, UNRWA needs unimpeded and continuous access to deliver aid and plan humanitarian operations.

Even one attack is too many. Attacking children, civilians, hospitals, health care workers, schools, humanitarians, is a violation of international humanitarian law. They are #NotATarget. #ActForHumanity
