It’s the last Monday of the year and there is lots of excitement here at the CDC. Today the children came dressed up as their favorite character or wearing a character shirt.

Today was Superhero day. The kids dressed up and showed off their extraordinary super skills.

We had a splash today! Today was Water Day and the kids had an amazing time splashing and playing in water.

Today we had a special visit from the Del Valle Police Department as part of our Community Helpers Week!Officer Ferniz and Officer Morris shared safety tips with the children and talked about the many ways they help our community. It was a fun experience. #CDCLILDRAGONS

The wheels on the bus went round and round all the way to CDC Central for a special visit! Our preschoolers were thrilled to explore the inside of a real school bus. A big thank you to the Del Valle Transportation for creating such a memorable moment for the children. #DVPROUD

Happy Custodial Appreciation Day! The dedication and tireless effort of our amazing custodians doesn’t go unnoticed. Thank you ladies for keeping our space clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone.

Today we wrapped up Community Helpers Week with a special visit from two Respiratory Therapist from St. David’s Hospital. One of the guest, Chelsea Armendariz, is a proud former CDC Dragon and a graduate of Del Valle High School. #DVPROUD #CDCLILDRAGONS

Today we wore pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month! We also had a special visit from the Travis County Fire and Rescue Department as part of Fire Prevention Week. It was a fun filled day with lots of learning and excitement. #CDCLILDRAGONS #DVPROUD

Happy National Color Day! Our little ones celebrated by diving into a world of vibrant creativity, exploring finger painting, and discovering the many colors all around them. It was a joyful, messy, and colorful morning full of imagination! #CDCLILDRAGONS

We have lots to celebrate! Scott Wille was announced as Administrator of the Year by the TXAEYC. Venessa Soto and Anna Reynero successfully completed a Leadership Academy. We are deeply grateful for their dedication to early childhood education. #DVPROUD #CDCLILDRAGONS

Today is National Gingerbread Cookie Day! Our amazing Culinary Arts class from the Del Valle High School baked delicious gingerbread cookies for our staff to enjoy. Our students also created festive gingerbread crafts.
