The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) advises the public to be cautious of unscrupulous individuals and fake Facebook pages posing off as the official page of the Department to solicit money.

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) on Thursday closed down YATRA TRAVEL & TOURS in San Fernando City, after it was found engaging in unauthorized recruitment activities without the necessary license. This is the 9th establishment closed by the department for 2025.

DMW Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac together with DMW senior officials met with Prof. Edgar Franke, the Parliamentary State Secretary of the German Federal Ministry of Health to advance shared initiatives in upholding the rights and welfare of overseas Filipino workers in Germany.

Honored to be part of the President’s meeting with Qatari Ambassador to the PHL, His Excellency Ahmed Saad Al-Homidi, who reported to the President that no charges will be filed and no fines will be imposed against the 17 OFWs arrested last March 27th. Also, no jobs will be lost.

DMW Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac and the National Reintegration Center for OFWs met with Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Managing Director Atty. Charina De Vera Yap to strengthen collaboration in promoting financial education and literacy initiatives for OFWs and families.

The Migrant Workers Office and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration in Washington, DC conducted an information and service caravan at the Philippine Embassy in Brasilia, Brazil. Labor Attaché Saul De Vries provided an overview of the services offered by the DMW and MWOs

The Migrant Workers Office–Prague (MWO–Prague successfully conducted a Post-Arrival Orientation Seminar (PAOS) and labor outreach to 50 OFWs in Szczecin, Poland, in partnership with the Philippine Embassy in Warsaw and the International Organization for Migration (IOM Poland).

DMW Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac, on behalf of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. condoled with the families of two overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who died as a result of the 7.7-magnitude earthquake that hit Mandalay, Myanmar last March 28th.
