Sharon Green aka Sha-Rock is 1st Female Influencer MC/Rapper of Hip Hop Street Culture in the 1970's. A member of the group The Funky 4 +1 in the early 80’s, she was known for her skills as an artist that set the bar for future emcees, male or female.

The Nicholas Brothers Tap danced with flash and class. Fayard and Harold were known for their one-of-a-kind “flash act” performances, characterized by full-bodied animation, rhythmic perfection and fearless stunts.

Carter G. Woodson was a son of former slaves, U of Chicago grad & PhD from Harvard. In 1926 he proposed & launched the annual “Negro History Week” in honor of Abraham Lincoln’s & Frederick Douglass’ Feb birthdays. “Black History Month” eventually became what we celebrate today.
