I joined the #EUBeachCleanUp in Ulcinj yesterday - great collective effort to protect the stunning nature here 🇲🇪 I strongly support the continuous focus on environment by Damjan Ćulafić and Johann Sattler. We care for the environment by cleaning it, protecting it 🌱🇪🇺

Last week in beautiful Montenegro, to address the joint Parliamentary Committe Skupština Crne Gore European Parliament. Montenegro as frontrunners on EU accession 🇲🇪🇪🇺 should take the necessary steps on reforms. During our Danish 🇩🇰🇪🇺Presidency, we continue to strongly support enlargement.

Encouraging to be in 🇲🇪 today at the launch of the first SEPA transactions. Important step that connects economies and communities, showing real benefits ahead of 🇪🇺membership. SEPA, lays the foundation for young European dreamers. The energy from 🇲🇪 is a motivation to continue.

1/3 EU is not cutting off the gas supply to 🇷🇸 as falsely claimed by some Serbian media but helping 🇷🇸 achieve energy independence and diversify away from unreliable energy suppliers.

2/3 - Since March 2022, as a consequence of Russia’s unprovoked aggression of Ukraine, EU Member States decided to progressively end Europe’s dependence on Russian fossil fuels. Gas transit between non-EU Member States such as 🇷🇸 is not affected.

3/3 As a candidate country, 🇷🇸 is expected to progressively align its legislation with the EU as part of the accession process, including REPowerEU regulation, once it becomes EU law. commission.europa.eu/topics/energy/…

One year ago, the Novi Sad train station collapse took 16 lives. We remember them today. This tragedy is changing Serbia. It moved masses to stand for accountability, free expression and inclusive democracy. They are the same values to lead Serbia into the EU.
