Congratulations to Bandsman Gavin Hodson for being awarded 3rd place at the recent Irish Freemasons Young Musician of the Year Competition! BM Hodson also picked up The Conrad O’Sullivan Memorial Prize for the best performance by a wind or brass player at the 2023 competition!

Yesterday, 31 October 2023, Band 1 Brigade provided the musical support for the Ministerial Review in Kilkenny, as the 123rd Infantry Battalion travel to UNIFIL shortly. We wish them a safe and successful overseas trip.

Congratulations to Bandswoman Laoighse Styles (Band 2 Brigade), who represented the Irish Defence Forces at the CISM Cross Country Championships in Belgium. BWm Styles played a massive role in helping the Irish team finish 2nd overall, with her 11th place finish! Well done 👏👏👏

The Army No. 1 Band played at 6 Citizenship Ceremonies on Monday and Tuesday, which welcomed nearly 6,000 new Irish Citizens! Congratulations to all!
