City of Delaware Firefighters are currently on scene of a mutual aid Barn Fire on Mink Street Rd

Yesterday City of Delaware Firefighters from station 303 responded for a mutual aid fire on the west side of the county. You may wonder what is mutual aid? Mutual aid is an agreement among emergency responders to lend assistance across jurisdictional boundaries in times of need.

In 1975, Chief Wilbur Bills established funds to establish a Paramedic Program. This program that started in 1975 has grown to over 50 Firefighter/Paramedics and allows Delaware City Firefighters to provide you with highest level of service of both fire and ems.
