#dessfs1yellow can’t help but think that Mondays are rather magical. Today we started with mindfulness and then we were excited to begin our Squiggle journey with “Up and Down”. Next we had maths looking at “the same” and then we all joined up for singing…what a busy morning 😊

To kick start our book of the week, “The Busy Body Book!” we enjoyed a workout session to get our bodies moving, with our wonderful PE team! #DESSFS2orange

#DESSFS2Yellow are having a super fun dance lesson, moving to the music and letting our creativity shine through.

Today in FS2 Blue, in our phonics lesson, we have been learning to sound out and write the letter “i” and the children took their learning outside the classroom to practice their letter formation with chalk. Lots of wonderful i, i, i,s ✍️🖍️#DESSFS2blue

Today in magical maths #DESSFS1Red took turns taking an item out of our magic bag and matching it to its pair, we then compared the objects to see what the similarities/differences were 🪄

Today we had our very first magical maths session. We had to match items. We are already real experts. #DESS #DESSFS1Orange

#dessfs1Yellow Follow us as we enjoy our first book of the week “Incredible You”. We will also begin Squiggle as we learn up, down, and side to side movements. At play we will investigate families, emotions and matching and sorting.

#DESSFS2Green love their weekly dance lessons. What a great way to keep our bodies busy during this weeks book ‘The Busy Body Book’.

#dessfs1Yellow Welcome back, this week we will enjoy a new book and continue to explore our learning environment. As we play we will compare height, weights, and capacity. In the home corner we will be busy preparing a picnic basket for the bears. We can not wait to get started.

#DESSFS2Red We so look forward to our Thursday afternoon’s swimming lessons each week. We all have so much fun 😊

Today in our fun phonics lesson, we learned the sound “ck”…. Neck, Sock, Lock, Tick …… we took our learning outside and practiced writing our sound in chalk. We also mastered the tricky word “I” as well as recapping the tricky word “is”. Great learning FS 2 Blue #DESSFS2blue

#DESSFS2Green enjoyed collaborating today in maths by working together to continue a repeating pattern. We loved “saying what we saw” and describing the pattern to our friends 🔴🟡🔴🟡
