My heart goes to this person’s friends and family. SUDEP is such an important subject and yet remains under-discussed in neurology clinics. To all my neuro colleagues out there, please talk about it. Patients want to hear about it. First line MDs NEED to hear about it…

This. So much this. Delays to surgery have an impact on day to day life, but also quite probably on children’s post-surgical cognitive and functional outcomes.

A couple months ago we performed a corpus callosotomy on a child with #LennoxGastaut - this week that child graduated from kindergarten seizure free since surgery! 💪💜🤞 Epilepsy👏surgery👏is👏not👏a👏last👏resort!

Just now realizing #MichaelCrichton imagined the concept of NeuroPace and closed-loop intracranial neurostimulation for epilepsy in his *1972* novel The Terminal Man. While the novel’s depiction of epilepsy is unnecessarily stigmatizing, it’s still impressive.

Brilliant colleague of mine is soon completing her PhD. We’ll be sad to see her go but if you’re looking for a neuroimaging scientist you’d be smart to hire her while you can! Meet her: samcote00.wixsite.com/samcote00

Heartbreaking video to watch, but too often I get delayed referrals that were initially thought to be reflux or cramps. Epileptic spasms are an emergency, and surgery *is* an option to be considered rapidly in many, not years down the road.

There’s software bloat, and then there’s EBSCO software bloat. I don’t remember signing up to download half of all medical literature ever published on my iPhone. Documents and data 1800x app size? No wonder it’s acting so slow…
