🚨 Exciting news for Alameda Health System System‼️We successfully performed our first TransCarotid Artery Revascularization (TCAR) procedure at Highland Hospital. Huge thanks to UCSF Vascular Surgery Surgeon & Asst. Professor Dr. Camille Jackson & the team for enhancing our vascular care🌟

14.3% rate (😮) of a tumor in those presenting with periappendiceal abscess. 52 of the 53 patients with tumors were over age 35. Don’t skip out on the interval appy for adult patients with appendicitis! 🔪🔪🔪
