Does anyone else remember the Oregon Trail game?? Mr. Jeffries and his students embarked on an exciting journey to create their own versions of this game! The students had so many creative ideas, and it was very exciting to watch them share their games with one another.

Some of our 11th & 12th graders competed at a college showcase workout on Monday! Over 50 coaches from schools across the Mid-West came to check out the Warriors in action, and they did not disappoint. This is such an incredible opportunity for these rising athletes!

Happy School Lunch Hero Day!! Thank you to our lunch heroes who consistently go above and beyond to ensure our students have healthy, delicious meals every single day. They even find ways to incorporate homemade items into our meals! We are so lucky to have you on our team!

Mrs. Brewer and Mr. Vrabel's classes both adopted cows at the beginning of the school year, and last week they took a virtual field trip to the farm to check in on them! Lucy and Peppermint Patty were on camera the whole time while the farmer answered questions!!

Zoo field trips can be a great opportunity for big kids too! Mr. Meling and his Honors Biology students went to the Indianapolis Zoo to study taxonomy and how organisms interact with their environment. It was a fun and educational experience for all!

Congratulations to Heather Jackson, Holly Fehr, and Mason Meling for receiving the Agriculture in STEM Grant sponsored by Hendricks County Farm Bureau! This is such an amazing accomplishment, and we can't wait to see how it transforms your future classroom projects!

Congratulations to North Elementary's 2nd-grade Warriors of the Week and Artists of the Week!

Mr. Meling took his anatomy students to the IU School of Medicine's Cadaver Lab in downtown Indy! The day began with a presentation (photographed here) and after, students had the opportunity to learn from PhD candidates and faculty about a few different cadaver specimens.

DCHS did a great job at the Area competition for the Academic Super Bowl! Science, Fine Arts, English, and Social Studies each got first in their class, and Math got 2nd. Because they were each in the top 5 in scores across the state, they have qualified to compete at State!

Yesterday was our very first DCSC Advocates Day! We had an amazing group of people sign up to join us for a day of tours, informative sessions, and a true behind-the-scenes look at how we are serving our students. Overall, the day was a huge success!!

It's Bus Driver Appreciation Day, and we are sending a big 'THANK YOU' to our amazing bus drivers!!! They work hard to keep our students safe on the way to and from school, and we are so grateful for all they do.

The DCMS Life Skills class has been learning about fossils and enjoyed making their own! What a fun project that they will be able to keep for a long time and remember what they learned. 🤩

Our Boys' Basketball Team had an amazing season, and their hard work was recognized at this month's Board Meeting! Coach Barber had nothing but amazing things to say about these boys, and we know that great things are coming in their future, both in and out of the classroom.
