Willow Class have been thinking about charity in RE and deciding if they would volunteer for St George’s Crypt when they are older!

Sycamore Class enjoyed trying new foods as part of our One Life initiative.

This morning our Acorns took a trek around the fields with their horses! 🐴

Starting off the half term sparking our little one’s minds with awe and wonder! Today we met our local farmer who spoke to us all about the important job he does here in Darrington and we got to sit in the tractor too! 🚜

This morning as we arrived into school, a special little chick just couldn’t wait to meet us. The little chick hatched from it’s egg 5 minutes after we all got into school and our children were able to witness this first hand!

Today our EYFS team hosted a Mother’s Day tea for our loved ones! We ate homemade scones with tea, read stories, got creative and went on a special letter hunt in the garden to name just a few things! 🩷

Thank you to all our wonderful families for an amazing turn out today, we hope you all had so much fun!

VE Day celebrations in our EYFS classroom today! We made medal and flags, practiced our fine motors skills and even got to hear music from the 1940s for an afternoon dance party 🇬🇧

Our After School club children have been getting crafty this week!

Making the most of the nice weather by taking our Y6 SATs prep outside. The children have been collaborating to answer questions on a scavenger hunt.

Our after school club had a great time trying out the skittle experiment today! We loved creating rainbows! 🌈

After a branch was cut down yesterday to keep us safe, the children were in awe. This sparked some excitement around the garden, so today we discussed the risks and how to keep safe and began to cut our fallen branch too! 🪚🌳

Last night our after school club created their very own challenge game. It was great to see the children working together as a team and cheering each other on.

Our full time after school club enjoyed a healthy tea tonight, we even had Mr Lunn join us for our feast!
