Today I had the chance to visit The Faircliff in Columbia Heights -- a new, fully electric affordable housing development built with support from DC Green Bank. The Council restored funding to the green bank to help DC achieve its climate goals and invest in affordable housing.

Today DC Green Bank hosted me on a tour of several clean energy efficient affordable housing projects in Ward 3. I’m proud to have worked with my Council colleagues to restore funds to help expand these kinds of efforts to create more affordable and sustainable housing in DC.

Yesterday, I joined DC Green Bank for a tour of affordable housing clean energy projects in Ward 5, from Edgewood to Brookland. Neighbors are benefiting from cleaner energy and lower utility costs. I am grateful for the Green Bank and will do what I can to expand on their work.

Yesterday, DC Department of Housing and Community Development joined The NRP Group, Marshall Heights Community Development Org., DC Housing Finance Agency (DCHFA), DC Green Bank, and Bank of America to celebrate the Emblem groundbreaking and the future home of 115 families in NoMa in Ward 6.

Thanks all who joined the DC People's Counsel Clean Energy Forum this pm, especially speakers from Department of Energy & Environment, The DC Sustainable Energy Utility & DC Green Bank. Yesterday I visited The Faircliff, a new addition to Columbia Heights that will bring 125 new affordable homes to the neighborhood. The building features several energy efficient features and is possible due to DC Green Bank .

2 big DC Green Bank wins - helping create 100 affordable, all electric homes in Ward 5 & supporting dozens of Ward 8 biz with new fully electric kitchens. Result? ⬇️ of 50% energy use for those W5 homes & continuous solar power for W8 biz at Sycamore & Oak. Great investments for DC!
