Last night, local Young Leaders competed in the District 1 Discussion Meet for Illinois Farm Bureau. Brett Dienst, Ethan Plote, and Christian Thurwanger advanced to the statewide competition. Katie Arndt placed as an alternate. Congratulations to everyone! Illinois Farm Bureau

This weekend's Gene Lane Memorial Tractor Drive was a memorable one. The nearly 40 drivers managed to avoid the forecasted severe weather. They rolled through Waterman, Big Rock, Troxel and DeKalb in memory of Gene Lane, one of the event's original organizers.

Seventh grade students from Sycamore Middle School took part in our annual Farm Field Trip. They toured three local farms and participated in hands-on learning stations at Farm Bureau. Students visited Lenkaitis Holsteins, C & B Farms, and Dayton Farms.

We were up to our ears in corn at @niusteam's 2025 STEM Fest! Partnering with The Suter Company, we shared the story of corn from tassel to table. Visitors had an a-maize-ing time identifying different corn varieties and exploring kernels up close under the microscope.
