Lovely to attend and take part in the eisteddfod 2024 proclamation march through #Aberdare before it then reached the Ron Jones stadium in Aberdare.

A very moving ceremony was held this morning to commemorate Aberdare Cenotaph’s 100 year anniversary. It was lovely to see the town so busy, as so many people came together to remember all those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we may live in peace.

Today we celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Aberdare Cenotaph. The cenotaph was unveiled in 1923 in memory of the hundreds of local men who died in the First World War, and now also commemorates those who have died in conflicts since.

An honour to be asked by Ann Clwyd's family to speak at her Memorial Service in St Elvan's. A beautiful service which captured the essence of Ann perfectly. I will forever be grateful for Ann's friendship and the lessons I learned from her fearless approach to politics.
