A Welsh Toolkit for Teachers

After a few weeks of preparations the website is live! A platform for teachers to help with introducing Welsh into their curriculum.

Sketchy Welsh DoctorCymraeg It’s a great example of why I love Cymraeg.

It places you there, in the woods, hearing the sound, living it.

The -ELL suffix is used for a few things in Welsh. One of which is to denote a female animal; hence CNOCELL in this case 👍

Both YDY and YW mean ‘is’

YDY tends to be more northern and YW more southern 👍

Traditionally there WAS a slight difference in the meanings behind B(U)ASWN and BYDDWN, but these days they both mean ‘I would be’.

The B(U)ASWN version tends to be more northern, with BYDDWN more southern.

It’s all about the -WN I ending that make them (pretty much) the same
