The FDA approved the first engineered T cell therapy, afami-cel, for the treatment of adults with synovial sarcoma. The clinical trial that resulted in the drug’s approval was led by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center sarcoma specialist and #CycleforSurvival funding recipient, Sandra D’Angelo, MD.
Luke Weber, a pediatric cancer survivor and long-time #CycleforSurvival champion, used his experience as an Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center patient to help create the "iSleep Team," an initiative created to improve sleep for patients without compromising their care. mskcc.org/news/new-progr…
