After over a decade at HuffPost, I’ve decided to take a buyout in the latest round of layoffs. It's tough to leave a place I love & I’m so grateful for all the people here, & all the faith they’ve put in me through the years.

A month ago was my 1st day HuffPost as National Investigative Reporter, what I thought was a new chapter for me Today I was laid off, as part of cuts they announced 3 hrs into my first day I was just gearing up to dig into 3 investigations. If your newsroom is hiring reach out

I was laid off today from HuffPost. I'm bummed for my colleagues who also lost jobs at a really critical juncture for our industry. But I'm grateful for the opportunity to travel the country covering national politics and elections (a job I'd love to continue elsewhere!).

Welp. I've been laid off. I'm so proud of my work at HuffPost. But I want to give a shout out to my Culture crew Taryn Finley Marina Fang (same handle at Bluesky) IAMNJERA, and to Erin E. Evans for holding us down for as long. It's rare to be on a team with all women of color. We were amazing together.
