STRIKE MYTH: Workers are being greedy. TRUTH: We’re just trying to keep up with the cost of living. Workers shouldn’t have to work two or three jobs or rely on food banks to get by. Fair wages are not optional. They’re a necessity.

Workers across the province are struggling to keep up with rising costs. Meanwhile, the Alberta government refuses to allow a fair wage increase. They expect us to do more with less, while MLAs get raises and budgets shrink for frontline public services. Enough is enough.

Understaffing, low wages, and constant cuts aren’t just bad for workers, they’re bad for everyone. They lead to worse public services, longer wait times, and burnout that hurts both employees and the people we serve. Stand with us.

STRIKING = POWER Workers don’t win by asking nicely. We win by organizing, by standing together, and by refusing to accept less than we deserve. Our strength is in our solidarity. And we’re not backing down.

Respect isn’t just words—it’s fair wages, safe working conditions, and real job security. We don’t want empty "thank yous." We want a contract that reflects the value of our work. Until then, we’re staying on the line.

No one wins alone. This isn't just about one public sector. When we win better wages and conditions, we set a new standard for ALL workers. This fight matters. For us, and for future generations.

Premier Smith might have missed the memo about what happens when you pick a fight with CUPE. CUPE never backs down from a fight to stand up for our members. Education workers showed us what we know to be true: when we strike, we win!
