You’re absolutely right Tom. We have been assured by the platform beginning with President Bart Barber that they are only there to fulfill the will of the messengers. Well, the messengers sent an overwhelming message last year in favor of the Law Amendment.

There are many problems with this article, but here are a few observations:

1) The argument has been that the Law Amendment wasn't necessary because women pastors aren't that big of a problem.

Listen to this “pastor.”
When he reads the qualifications from I Timothy 3, he says you “must be faithful to your spouse.”
ONLY ONE PROBLEM, it actually reads “husband of one wife.”
That’s just too simple and clear so one must change the words to fit one’s unbiblical desires.

I continue to see quotes from many Southern Baptist leaders that are telling us that we all need to unify around what is most important and that is to major on the Great Commission. We are told that this trumps any and all things that might keep us from being unified.
