2 weeks tweaking the wording of the presentation… 1 day “rehearsing”… get to the pitch and end up ignoring it all and winging it… seemed to go ok though 😂 🤞

So today my top/stand out sales person just spoke to a member of customer services like they were a piece of s**t which ended in tears… don’t care who you are, or how good you are, respect for others top trumps you. Will be actioned.

Don’t know why we hadn’t done this… company values as part of the job description.

In hindsight it seems so obvious, we’re happy to outline the role, but we should also outline how we want people to work with those around and the wider team.

Just read The Diary Of A CEO by Steven Bartlett and I admit my preconception was 100% incorrect. What an excellent book. Thoroughly recommend to anyone.

'Culture is created by the behaviours you tolerate' - not really... it's the way things are done, and behaviours can, and arguably should vary through organisational subculture. Leadership plays a role in moulding and importantly should UNDERSTAND culture.
