Another day, another reason why the Science Museum should be rethinking (urgently) its toxic sponsorship deal with

More brazen cognitive dissonance from the Science Museum… 🙄

And…*why* is there MORE CO2 in our atmosphere, causing oceans to change? 🌊👀

Museum sponsors like BP, Equinor and Adani - and their unsustainable extraction of oil, gas and coal. 🔥🌍

Extremely sinister. Having silenced civil society organisations who have criticised its destructive coal expansion, is now setting up its own climate 'think-tank'. A climate think-tank run by the world's biggest proponent of new coal. Really? tbsnews.net/world/south-as…

“The fossil fuel industry funds museums, sports, aquariums, and schools, serving the dual purpose of cleaning up its image and making communities feel dependent on the industry and thus less likely to criticize it.”
Science Museum care to comment?

🥳 VICTORY! 🥳

Trans Pride Plymouth is the latest of 26 signatories to become a Fossil Free Pride!

Big love to them for putting queer solidarity first & saying no to pinkwashing climate-wreckers causing our LGBTQIA+ siblings in the Global South to suffer first & worst ✊❤️‍🔥

Teachers, think twice before visiting the Science Museum as they receive funding from the fossil fuel industry. If you do visit, encourage students to discuss greenwashing & the leading role of fossil fuels in the climate crisis. Feedback to staff we must .

The Science Museum closed its Adani-sponsored Energy Revolution Gallery over the weekend after scientists & young people occupied the space & added a pile of coal to show the truth about Adani Group.👏Chris Packham said Adani's sponsorship is 'beyond greenwash - it's grotesque'

The Science Museum and British Museum taking money from companies fuelling the climate crisis is a disgrace. What purpose is there in preserving our cultural and scientific legacies if our planet becomes unlivable?

In the face of criticism of his fossil fuel sponsors, Science Museum Director has repeatedly claimed these major polluters have “the capital, resources, people” to find the solutions to change.

Of course, the big money still goes on more new fossil fuels and lobbying.

Tomorrow Science Museum's coal sponsored gallery opens to schools. this morning we finished a 43 hour occupation of the gallery sending a clear message that supporting companies destroying the planet and future and committing human rights abuse is disgraceful. This is our museum!

IT STINKS ! The sponsorship of the ‘Energy Revolution’ gallery at Science Museum betrays science , truth and our youth . That’s why ScientistsForXR & 💥youth action for climate justice💥 have occupied the gallery . Fossil fuels need to stay in the ground . Culture Unstained

Some on point naming and calling out of the fossil fuel industry’s playbook!✍️🛢️🤝🏭🧐

Too often, these narratives are pushed out via politicians, museum directors and public figures to give these planet-wrecking plans a sheen of legitimacy…

I am pretty sure that the Science Museum don't want everyone to know that they're in the pocket of the world's biggest coal producer and have allowed them (incredibly perversely) to sponsor an exhibition on climate change (which that company is knowingly accelerating).

The Science Museum is shutting down discussion of its sponsor - and what a future beyond fossil fuel sponsorship might look like.

Please share this video of Dr. Aaron Thierry from inside the Energy Revolution gallery protest, just a few mins ago…

Unfortunately Science Museum forgot to tell the truth about Adani Group 's massive coal interests in their new Adani sponsored green energy gallery so some people have helpfully built a pile of coal in the middle of the gallery to make this clear.
