What a way to round off an amazing half term, with our annual Poetry Slam. Children from Nursery to Year Six performed poems off-by-heart in front of a huge audience. Some had even written their own poems! The performative oracy skills on show were outstanding!

Year 3 had an inspiring visit from author Adeola Sokunbi! She introduced her Destiny Ink series, answered questions, and even co-created a brand-new monster with the children’s ideas. The session ended with book signings for eager readers. A magical experience for all!

As part of our RE learning, Year 2 visited the East London Mosque today. We learnt about the features of a mosque and how they link to the five pillars of Islam. We were amazed to learn that over a million people visit annually. Now we can't wait to complete this RE unit!

Ms Dwyer’s choir performed for parents this afternoon, singing the songs that they had learnt for the recent Young Voices concert. They sounded beautiful!

Exciting to share the work Cubitt Town Primary School is doing to boost parental engagement in ethnically minority communities at the Youth Sport Trust Conference 2025. A brilliant day spend listening to the key note speakers, attending workshops and networking with colleagues.

Year 1 went on a local walk to see the Singapore Navy's RSS Formidable ship. We were greeted by some of the crew who told us a little about the ship. Some of us used fantastic oracy skills to ask interesting questions to help us learn more. We all really enjoyed it!
