Ironically the Chris Moyles comments have got loads of people sharing their favourite unsigned/DIY bands on here and giving those bands more exposure.

The bizarre thing is there’s loads of ‘unsigned’ bands selling out venues/tours every week. From bands doing the anthemic indie thing to bands making aggressive noisy stuff.

Nobody seriously expects a big breakfast radio show to be playing loads of unsigned bands but a ‘unsigned track of the day’ would be an easy thing to do and maybe get bands in to the ears of people they’d never normally reach.

Cross Wires I wouldn't imagine he has any say in his playlist but he does have control over what he says and hopefully people at the station will be good enough to educate him on what's going on outside his bubble. Maybe a John Kennedy breakfast takeover or job swap for day is needed?

Mark Bleasdale John Kennedy Agreed and John Kennedy is the man! He’s done more for new music than pretty much anyone on major radio. One of the best things thats come from this is so many people showing him how appreciated he is.
