I finally managed to hit Rank 20 (MAX rank) in the Duel Links KC Cup (Kaiba Corporation Cup). I'm honestly proud of how far I've come with my Infernity deck. I've now qualified to compete in the stage 2 finals, which begins on September 16, 2022. This Infernity deck is too fun.

My only gripe with Duel Links adding Chronicle Chips is the fact that now KC Cup grinding is basically worthless. Imagine grinding for top 10 for the Red Text/Blue Text only for your progress to be invalidated because some random got Red Text too through sheer Card Trader RNG.

Here is the decklist I used for 60 Legacy Duel wins. I played classic Tristan Taylor stall mill. Honestly, Legacy Duels would be a lot of fun if Konami learned how to balance them. I faced so much Harpie, Dark Magician turbo, and other random stall. YouTube video coming soon.

NEW SPEED DUEL mainbox! I'm hyped for this new Shaddoll support, but I'd have been happier with new Altergeist support. Apkallone and Ariel are huge! Shaddoll Fusion is no longer skill-locked! I would have been happier if we got Malwisp tho, but maybe someday.

Yup Duel Links is officially dead and I’m not the only one who thinks so. It’s quite sad how Duel Links is now a predatory game where you’re forced to play meta or lose. Most rogue decks simply can’t compete anymore. That’s just textbook definition of bad game design.

Konami releasing a $17.85 bundle and not letting you buy it with gems is kinda a good thing. At least Duel Links whales like myself have something (a mat) they can flex with outside of Selection Box staples. I’m all for optional cosmetics being paywalled for people who want them.
