True crime can be extremely exploitative and downright abusive to those closest to the victim. It can also be extremely accurate, helpful and generate tips in the case that can lead to a resolution. Both realities exist. My question is, why are we still tolerating the former?

Can we squash the 'families need to be quiet and grateful' trope in true crime? They are allowed to say, I don't like this. They are allowed to say nothing at all. And if you are helping with the expectation of anything, that's a transactional relationship, not advocacy. Period.

Life has been a little chaotic lately! I am working on new episodes, but they won’t be released for a little while, as I’m expecting a new baby boy at the end of this month! 🩵 Soon enough, I’ll be back in the swing of things.
