Severn Valley Railway Spring Gala
Busy morning SVRBridgnorthStation No 72 on the two coach local to Hampton Loade and Panniers Nos 1369 and 7714 doublehead the first arrival from Kidderminster. The last day of a very successful Severn Valley Railway Spring Steam Gala.
1872 built LBSCR No 72 Fenchurch, a visitor from Bluebell Railway, was hauling the local trains from SVRBridgnorthStation to Hampton Loade which were very busy. Incredible that a loco of this vintage is still going strong. Severn Valley Railway
I think this was the first visit of one of the famous Lambton tanks to Severn Valley Railway. No 29, which has a remarkable chime whistle, is seen here running round its set at Bewdley and arriving at Arley on a local service from Highley.
