Luis Peña homers in DSL All Star Game. The 17-year old has a 190 wRC+ and 1.110 OPS with 31 stolen bases. Most impressive of all have been his bat-to-ball skills. His in zone contact rate is reportedly 94.5% and overall contact rate close to 84%. Strikeout rate is just 7.4%.

Yes, one of the very longest trade droughts in MLB is over! Even that 2004 trade was simply a matter of the Crew helping Colorado out because the #Brewers were earlier in the Rule 5 draft order, and the Rockies really wanted Carvajal out of Dodgers system baseball-reference.com/players/c/carv…

Brewers prospect Luke Adams currently has a 162 wRC+ this season. That’s by far the highest wRC+ among all 20 year old qualified hitters in professional baseball.

Another from Brewers Braylon Payne in AZ Bridge League. His first AB he had a single, SB and run. Here he drives one in the ground that bounces over the second baseman to record a single and RBI. Payne’s speed is going to be a problem for defenses. #ProspectOne

The Brewers finished with 217 stolen bases in 259 attempts this season. Not quite the rate of attempts we saw in Spring Training, but an impressive 84% success rate.
