Coventry North Brownies paid a visit to the Council House on 19th November and met with the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress. They were a very enthusiastic group who had a lot of great questions for the Lord Mayor and it was a pleasure to host them.

People Dancing held their Dancing Together with Parkinson's event at the Albany Theatre on 29th November. The Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress were pleased to attend the fantastic celebration event.

The Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress joined Tony Cunningham at the start of his charity walk for Molly Ollys on 30th November. Molly Ollys supports children with life-threatening illnesses and their families and Tony will be fundraising for them by walking 10 miles a day for a year!

Coventry Freemason's hosted their annual pantomime for children with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND) on 4th November. Alongside the pantomime there was entertainment from a magician and a special visit from Santa!

The Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress attended the Annual Coventry & Warwickshire Family Courts Christmas Carol Service on 4th December at Holy Trinity Church.

The Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress were delighted to attend the West Midlands Lieutenancy Carol Service. Hosted by the Lord-Lieutenant of the West Midlands, the service was held to recognise those who have gone above and beyond to support others in our community this year.

On the 18th January the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress attended the opening of Trinity Guild Rugby Football Club's new grounds and clubhouse at Martin Wheeler Fields. Trinity Guild RFC is the oldest junior rugby club in Coventry and is celebrating its 125th Anniversary Season.

The Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress were honoured to attend the 76th Republic Day of India Celebration with the Consul General Dr Venkatachalam Murugan on 26th January in Birmingham.

Students from Moat House Primary School visited the Council House on 6th February and met with the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress. Everyone had a great time looking around the Council Chamber and learning about democracy.

The Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress were very proud to attend the unveiling of a blue plaque commemorating Alice Arnold, Coventry's first woman Mayor in 1937. The Lord Mayor was particularly pleased to attend and described Alice as a trailblazer who broke through the barriers.

The Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress attended the Coventry University Law Society Awards on 7th February. The awards were held to celebrate students for their extra curricular activities and responsibilities, awards included Carers Award, Trailblazer Award and Changemaker Award.

The Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress have been down to Broadgate this afternoon where they bumped into St. George and the Dragon! Happy St. George's Day!

As President of the City of Coventry Freemen's Guild, it was a pleasure for the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress to attend the Freemen's Sunday Service and Parade yesterday at the beautiful Holy Trinity Church.

Thank you to everyone who was able to attend the Civic Service of Thanksgiving last week at Holy Trinity Church. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our fantastic City of Coventry.

The Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress were honoured to attend the Commonwealth War Graves, VE/VJ Day 80 Concert at Coventry Cathedral. It was a very special evening of commemoration, with some fantastic performances. They were delighted to meet two exceptional veterans who attended.

The Lord Mayor's End of Year Celebration took place on Friday 16th May. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped raise money for the Lord Mayor's charities, The St Giles Trust and The Carers Trust, Heart of England.

Cllr Rachel Lancaster was today inaugurated as Lord Mayor of Coventry. She will be supported in the role by her consorts Lawrie Womble-Lancaster and Meridith Womble-Lancaster.

The Coventry City Council AGM took place at Coventry Cathedral on Thursday 22nd May, where Councillor Rachel Lancaster was inaugurated as Lord Mayor of Coventry. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend, and special thanks to John Shelton Community Primary School Choir.
