If you feel like:

- Your vision is too lofty to achieve
- Life has to be more than this
- You're living a double life
- Nobody else 'sees it'

Good.

If you were satisfied, you'd stay here.

Now what're you gonna do about it?

Create the beauty you love seeing.

Nietzsche had syphilis.

Hemingway was an alcoholic.

Tesla was in love with a pigeon.

Progress doesn't 'just happen.'

Nobody's qualified.

It might as well be you.

Try to be productive all you want.

Without a North Star...

A Highest Good...

To aim at...

You'll spend your life wandering around the base of the pyramid.

Never reaching its peak.

You're already doing interesting things.

You just think:

- It'll get you cancelled
- It's been done before
- It's too weird/specific
- You're not skilled enough yet

Be scientific.

Test that theory.

Hit Publish.

Twitter makes you realize:

You're 1° away from your favorite icon

It's not about reach then.

It's about a great idea.

And a hell of a lot of reps.

School → black & white thinking.

And I don't mean lack of nuance.

I mean words of a page.

Real reading isn't JUST reading.

- Draw diagrams of ideas presented
- Find analogies to explain arguments
- Make mnemonics to aid memory

Medievals decorated their books for a reason.

If you're going to spend 20 hours with a book:

Spend 20min skimming it first.

- Examine the table of contents
- Look at chapter headings
- Check index for critical terms
- Skim chapter summaries

Build a mental scaffold of the title.

Then decide:

Is it worth it?

Don't be impressed.

Get involved.

Don't idolize greats.

Copy their learning process.

Don't daydream.

Let imagination move you to action.

Twitter replies 101

- Love it

- Congrats
- Nice post
- Well deserved
- I couldn't agree more

You are not Alex Hormozi, you are not Zach Pogrob, and you are definitely not Dan Koe.

Stop trying to blindly be somebody else or follow somebody else just because they have “authority” over you.

You are your own unique person with an unfathomable and incomprehensible nature

Twitter is a video game.

The rules are just implicit.

The XP bar is hidden.

The follower count is your level.

It's an RPG but the gold is real.

RuneScape didn't break you.

Skyrim laid prostrate at your feet.

You know what to do.

Get to smithing.

The future belongs to the Lens Crafters.

Those who:

- Make their ideas sticky
- Fashion Razors and aphorisms
- Distill learning into frameworks
- Inject these into the minds of others

Make your own Lenses, they tint your perception.

Maybe you don't need an idea.

Maybe you need a way to freeze your daily learning in amber.

A way to share it with others.

A way to refine and remix.

And time.

Reading is the #1 modern skill.

Few can do it well.

Here's some tips:

-Log questions & disagreements
-Use the book to interpret itself
-Reading SPEEDS > Reading speed
-Understand the 4 levels of reading
-Reconstruct the book as an outline
-Few books deserve thorough reading
