Ben Johnson had a great performance this weekend in Zumbrota-Mazeppa, with over 30 individual points scored in the three contested matches he competed in and perfect 4-0 record. Ben recorded 2 majors,1 forfeit, and 1 fall while coming from behind to earn the pin.

Tonight we defeated 2 conference opponents: Osseo 76-0 Coon Rapids 51-15 Tomorrow Varsity and JV head to Kennedy High School while our duals team of 9th grade and under goes to Mora for the MNGL Team State Tournament. Good luck, wrestlers!

Congrats to our 7th-9th grders who competed at the MNGL Regionals! Centennial took 1st, scoring 43.5 more points than 2nd place Wayzata. Competing next week at 9th grade state: Max Dinh 1st Evann Linn 1st Adam Streff 1st Leeton Guggenberger 1st Leo Zweber 2nd James Fuller 1st

Friday night we defeated Delano 45-17 and lost to AAA 5th ranked Mounds View 42-15. On Saturday we competed at the Governors Duals. After a loss to St. Peter, we went undefeated the rest of the day, beating Cambridge-Isanti, Cannon Falls and Chaska-Chanhassen to place 3rd!

Wrestler of the Week: Evann Linn Evann battled through a tough bracket to the finals & scored 2 takedowns to clinch the title at 100lbs.  Evann gave up 0 takedowns for the tournament and is the 2nd ever Centennial wrestler to win a 9th grade league state individual tournament.
