“Wouldn’t hurt to have a do over..” She’s joking, mostly.

Sometimes the pain just… eats her alive.

She’s wiping at her eyes, but nodding. “Yes, I’m just fine.”

She’s never sleeping again.

There’s an eyebrow slowly raising. Surely her wife isn’t calling her that.

Her eyes squint, but the smile tugging at her lips gives an indication that she’s being playful. “Perhaps, but it’s typically coming from me.”

Two could play at this game. And Regina wasn’t about to let her wife win this one. “Because I agreed to marry you?” And there’s that signature smirk.

There’s a quiet laugh, followed by Regina coming to sit beside her wife. A hand dropping to the other woman’s lap. “Oh come on, you walked right into that one dear.”

Regina is really trying not to laugh. She’s still feeling proud of herself for such a witty comeback. And Emma’s pouty is laughably cute. “So, do you not want to finish your thoughts then?” There’s a loving kiss to the side of Emma’s head.

There’s a shake of a head given. “I didn’t forget, darling. I’ve got an entire evening planned.” And she does. That’s why Scarlett and Henry have already been dropped off with Snow.

There’s a hum and short nod of the head. She has reasons for not responding — ones that will only make sense after their evening begins. “I didn’t want to give anything away, my Swan. I wanted every thing to be ready and perfect.”

Regina has to resist the urge to bite her own bottom lip. She knows it’ll give away the truth — which is that she hasn’t been to the office today. She’s been too busy with their plans. “I did. It was very sweet.” She leans forward for a kiss, fingers tucking under Emma’s chin.

She knew it wouldn’t be so easy to lie and then distract her wife from said lie. But it was worth a shot. “Stop questioning me. You’re going to ruin all my hard work.” It’s her turn to pout now.

It’s cold and she’s not happy about it. Good thing @emxmaswan is like a personal heater.
