Don't feel bad when you see ponies in the rain. They have their own weatherproof gear! Their coats are naturally very greasy which creates a barrier to keep the rain out. Their manes and tails also work to funnel water away from their body and onto the ground @rlchamphotos

Your periodic reminder that with the closing of the Olympics we’re only half way through a summer of action from Tokyo. The Paralympics are coming soon...

..these Paralympics take place against a backdrop of unprecedented challenge for disabled people, who are demonstrating extraordinary resilience in the pandemic. As well as the world class sport, I hope these games serve as a platform for talking about wider social issues.

Just to also say I realise the Paralympics aren’t for everyone. Not every disabled person wants to be a Paralympian, in the same way as not everyone aspires to be an Olympian. For me though, anything that gets us thinking and talking about disability has to be a good thing.

⚠️ Cases of Covid-19 are high in the Camborne, Pool and Redruth areas. Please take precautions to help stop the spread and keep yourself and others safe. ▪ Test regularly ▪ Get vaccinated ▪ Wear a face covering ▪ Meeting outdoors is safest ▪ Wash your hands often
