St Ives there is always a community get together at Consols pond. It’s a morning our family looks forward to - a time to catch up with people and have a yarn, whilst kids (big and small!) sail their boats

Everyone arrives with their boats tucked under their arms that have been handed down from generation to generation, often built by family members.

The heritage and sklll of building these little boats is unfortunately dieing out, but today it was so lovely to see so many

Little ones and adults alike run around the pond and take it it in turns to give everyone’s little boat a gentle push to guide them on their way, sailing across the pond to the other side.

Beth has had a wet suit on more than one Easter 🐣 Friday

like a magnet to water. One year she was in the pond on her surf life saving board rescuing the little boats that got stuck. Many thanks to the council environment agency she wasn’t called on today 🤣.
